Everyone wants to be able to see the future and use that knowledge to make a better decisions. A company would be immensely successful if it could adapt quickly to changing trends. Unfortunately all we can do is make predictions based on the facts at hand. Thankfully, there are experts out there, who are able to make fairly accurate assessments about the future, that we should all listen to.

In a recent interview with Harvard Business Review, Google's CIO Ben Fried spoke about the future of IT. He touched on many different aspects of the IT channel, including the importance of having the right technology professionals in place who can handle the evolving landscape.

According to Fried, the traditional feeling of IT departments is that those in charge of technology are experts and are more knowledge about the field than regular employees. That is changing, however, because the main tools used by businesses are also part of many employees' everyday lives. This is why the impression that IT departments make is critical to ensuring success.

"To do this you have to have IT people who are more knowledgeable about the technology and the best ways to use it than the average employee," Fried said. "In the future, that kind of thinking is going to differentiate great IT departments from good IT departments."

It seems clear that impactful IT talent will play a major role in the success of IT departments going forward, in ways we have not seen previously. By partnering with VAR Staffing, any IT solution provider can find the right technology professionals.
