What they're Saying: Microsoft Launches Long-Awaited Window 8 OS, Surface Tablet
Yesterday in New York City, Microsoft held a press conference to roll out its long-awaited Windows 8 operating system as well as its new Surface tablet. For what was months in the making, the unveiling occurred yesterday morning at Pier 57.
While I was not able to attend live (I made a prior commitment to attend the ASCII NJ Road Show stop), I managed to follow along via live bloggers on Mashable and The New York Times.
As I viewed the live event via webcast, I saw various real-time updates both on these news sites, as well as social media. For the most part, the feedback regarding the event was on both sides of the fence, and also featured the typical cynicism from the tech journalist crowd.
