When it comes to any IT implementation, businesses need to be aware of what security protocols are needed to keep information safe at all times. In the current digital age, technology security is a necessity as more organizations find themselves relying on more systems like the cloud or mobile devices to handle business critical operations. This all leads to a never-ending search in the IT channel for quality talent.

According to a recent report from Tech Pro Research, in 2014, more companies are going to be expanding their IT security budgets. The numbers were gathered following a survey of 244 technology executives from companies of all sizes around the globe.

According to the numbers, 41 percent of respondents said there is a plan in place to increase the IT security budgets to answer a number of challenges. This is an increase of 16 percent when compared to 2013. On top of that, only 11 percent said their plan is to decrease the security budget next year.

At the top of the concern list for 2014 is BYOD management, which was cited by 51 percent of individuals. Other areas that received at least 40 percent of the vote include advanced detection of threats, mobile device breaches, lack of employee training and growing network complexity.

These increased budgets could create space for an enterprise to partner with a VAR or MSP to answer specific challenges in the IT channel. Quality solution providers have partnered with VAR Staffing to gain a hand when it comes to identifying and recruiting impactful talent.
