As readers of this blog are well aware, the growing influence of technology in the business sector is making it more important than ever for organizations to find impactful IT talent for companies to remain successful.
Recently, the TechAmerica Foundation released the results an IT jobs study of the first half of 2013. According to the numbers, the tech industry added 103,300 net new jobs during the first six months of the year, topping out at more than 6 million tech employees. That is an increase of 1.7 percent.
Matthew Kazmierczak, the vice president of research and reports for the TechAmerica Foundation, said in the report that the industry continues to be encouraged by the consistent growth in tech jobs that has been experienced. Despite steady growth, however, there is a problem brewing because of a small, adequately skilled hiring pool.
“However, we are concerned that the rate of growth in the technology industry is lagging behind that of the overall private sector,” Kazmierczak said. “Too often we hear from technology hiring managers and executives about the difficulty in finding qualified and eligible workers. This is particularly troubling for an industry that is at the center of the innovation economy.”
The competition in the IT channel to find and acquire quality technology talent is heating up and the skills gap is adding a new level of complexity. VARs and MSPs have become reliable resources for many companies and VAR Staffing helps any solution provider acquire the impactful talent needed to be successful.
