Don’t worry about your RMM tool; just take care of your clients.

There is so much going on in the world of RMM tools; mergers, acquisitions, and takeovers. Personally it is driving me crazy. I can only imagine how it is making the MSPs who use these tools feel. I can tell you that the partners I work with have voiced a lot of concern to me about their RMM tool. I tell them and I will tell you, don’t worry yourself with about it. It is easier to replace your RMM tool than to replace your client.
When I talk about taking care of your client, I mean just that. Take care of their needs. The RMM tool allows you to remotely “take care” of their day-to-day network support needs, but what about their business needs?
Recently, I working with a new partner who actually referred to his RMM tool as a product his company was selling. In my opinion, that is a HUGE mistake. You are not selling your RMM tool, the RMM software companies sell it to you. And, you use the RMM tool to deliver services to your client. As a former MSP business owner, I understand the benefit of an RMM tool for delivering your services, but it won’t make or break your business.
I don’t care what RMM tool you use, Kaseya, LabTech, Level Platforms, GFI, N-Able, LogMeIn, etc. Make sure you have the tool that works best for you and the services you are promising to your clients. It is more important to have your PSA tool tuned in to your business for ticketing, workflow, client management and billing. If you don’t have a PSA tool yet, GET ONE! Call ConnectWise, Shockey Monkey, TigerPaw, Autotask or CommittCRM today and get it set up. These tools will allow you to keep track of your time, stay organized and truly take care of your clients while growing your business.
I repeat again, don’t worry about your RMM tool. If you aren’t getting what you need from it, I suggest you either talk to your sales representative or find another tool that works for you. You just need to focus on building and continuing a successful relationship with your clients.
