Sophos Antivirus Flaws Not Insurmountable

Researcher Tavis Ormandy once again rocked the security boat by revealing a laundry list of security flaws contained in Sophos antivirus products, prompting the Massachusetts-based security firm to scramble to resolve the flaws before they fall into the wrong hands. The flaws, if left unpatched, could undoubtedly leave customers susceptible to attack. But McAfee, Symantec and other security firms have overcome much worse, partners say.
