Cloud technology helping drive Integrator, IT Principal partnership

Throughout history there have been countless examples of unlikely partnerships that garnered great accolades. For example, there's the CIA, comic book legend Jack Kirby and a Hollywood makeup artist joining forces to save hostages with a fake movie called Argo. Then, with Mark Twain and Nikola Tesla testing inventions and trying to be superheros, the saying opposites attract isn't too far off. While many of these combinations seem like they are more likely to end in a kerfuffle, a shared goal can lead to success.

In the corporate world, a scene like this is playing out between the telecommunications industry and the IT channel, thanks to the creation of cloud computing technology. This convergence, along with the benefits that VoIP and unified communication systems can offer, has IT Principals looking for ways to integrate the systems and many are turning to these new hybrid solution providers to answer the challenge.

A recent article from Josh Long for Channel Partners Online, examines the new relationship that is emerging between IT VARs and telecommunication providers.

"Some VARs are looking to become the cloud provider whether white-labeling or adding their own level of services," said Greg Praske, founder and CEO of ARG Inc., a voice and data consulting agency. "Others are looking at how to optimize their business base, somehow to get new customers. We're finding more downstream those VARs are looking for someone to work with. To build it out is a process."

For these solution providers, having the right hardware and software options is only part of the battle as offering the right talent is just as important. VARs and MSPs that have partnered with VAR Staffing can stand out from the crowd in this new sector of the industry.
